Just Like Me

I am about to banish scissors from our home.  Cate had another hankering to make some changes to her hair while she was in her room for "quiet time."  She found Emma's pocket knife with the little scissors on it and chopped away.  First she gave herself some "layers" on the right side of her head.  Then she cut off a chunk of hair right at the base of her scalp, front and center.  There is a bit of a bald spot now.  LOVE-LY!!!  Cate strategically tucks her hair behind her ears so the "layers" aren't as noticeable.  Believe me it looks MUCH worse in person.

Happy with the results of her own hair cut Cate decided to make her new doll look like her.  OH, DID SHE EVER make her doll look like her!  Away with the long braided locks of doll hair.  Now we have Miss Butch.
I found a huge pile of doll hair hidden away on the window sill.  Cate confessed she put it there so she wouldn't get in trouble.  It didn't work out.

Cate must be destined to be a hair artist because she hasn't out grown this fascination yet.  She has her own style at 5, and even when she was 3.
(Sigh) Hair will grow back, at least for Cate.  Poor dolly.
